About
The University of Cincinnati Southwest Ohio STEM Scholars Program
The Southwest Ohio STEM scholars program (SOSP) is part of the National Science Foundation’s Scholarships in STEM (S-STEM) initiative.
Here at the University of Cincinnati, the S-STEM Scholars Program supports computer science students who demonstrate strong academic and professional potential. The design of this initiative is to provide a community for students to foster academic, professional, and personal growth.
Our scholars community includes 35 Computer Science students composed of 3 cohorts who:
- Engage in hands-on workshops
- Participate in professional networking
- Develop projects tailored around their interests
- Meet with faculty mentors who share their passion for the industry
Together, these experiences strengthen scholars’ core knowledge of Computer Science cirriculum and enrich their overall experience at the University of Cincinnati.
